Dental/Oral Surgery/Medical (Specialist) Director of Operations (Greater Portland, OR)

Established, busy, growth-oriented, multi-office Oral Surgery Practice, in greater Portland Oregon looking for a Director of Operations.

This position is not a remote position and will be in office only.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day-to-day assessment and improvement of operations for multiple practices
  • Collect dates, prepare reports, analyze statics for practices.
  • Allocate resources and materials to meet project deadlines.
  • Track and forecast operational trends and analysis.
  • Provide daily operations oversight for our teams.
  • Formalize policies and procedures in accordance with HR regulations.
  • Manage and oversee budget and financial functions for assigned clinics.
  • HR responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in business operations or other related fields
  • Advanced project management skills related to healthcare a plus.
  • Graduate-level degree
  • Relevant experience with operation management
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional leadership qualities
  • Experience with dental or medical management a plus
  • Knowledge of dental and medical insurance and claims processing highly recommended.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • MBA or Graduate level degree in healthcare or business management
  • Dental or Medical office management experience
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to multi-task, self-start, meet deadlines, manage staff, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • OSHA, HIPPA, and compliance knowledge essential
  • Must exhibit strong attention to detail, communication, and follow-through skills.

DESCRIPTION

  • Oversee day-to-day business operations.
  • Receive and organize all statements for business-related expenses.
  • Responsible for monitoring all fixed and variable business expenses.
  • Understand Key Performance Indicators and adjust operations accordingly.
  • Prepare a monthly and year-end breakdown of all practice expenses.
  • Provide complete financial reporting to the doctor for review.
  • Assist in budgeting for new equipment.
  • Participate in business plans and concepts to build for the future.
  • Collect data, prepare reports, analyzes statistics, and responds to correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Provides overall operational management, direction, and guidance to the
    doctors and management team accordingly.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness and support of information technology applications to support operations.
  • Manage practice software and its function with IT support.
  • Responsible for monitoring all fixed and variable business expenses.
  • Provide complete and accurate financial reports for the doctors to review.
  • Monitor case acceptance and target future goals for production.
  • Prepare a monthly and year-end breakdown of all practice expenses.
  • Responsible to provide leadership, direction, and support to the managers and team to ensure financial and operational success.
  • Leads production focused meetings.
  • Prepares annual reviews for the Leadership team positions.
  • Help provide leadership and guidance of operations to management and business positions at clinics.
  • Negotiate dental and medical insurance contracts and fees in collaboration with the Business Manager.
  • Participate and attend continuing educational seminars.
  • Seize opportunities to foster communication and provide company and partners updates by sharing information.
  • Attends and actively participates in meetings, committees, seminars, workshops, conferences, quality management activities according to job responsibilities and practice requirements.
