I came into oral surgery with only dental billing background and the billing was brought back in once I started. My office sent me to the AAOMS conference where I attended the 3 day billing course in person-SO much useful information!! You take the first course online through AAOMS that goes over the basics, then you attend the course through AAOMS and actually get to use your coding books or encoderpro online to do real problems and code them yourself, I liked it because I learn when doing so it was great. I also then took the Terri Bradley coding course that is offered online as well. The rest comes by trial and error and getting claims kicked back for a missing modifier so you investigate and add and remember for next time. I absolutely love the billing aspect with oral surgery, especially the trauma cases. Good luck and congratulations on bringing your billing back in office.

We have a 5 year warranty consent we have the patient sign when they receive their treatment estimate that goes over what is included and not included in the warranty and what they have to do to keep the warranty valid as well.
