Does anyone have a medical cross-code for the D1999?
Tara HartParticipantWe don’t require either, but the hospital requires the flu vaccine for credentialing.
Tara HartParticipantYou should be getting an email to run your report and scan every 90 days on this website for Transfirst: https://www.compliance101.com/
The audit log is worthless. I would search for the audit log inside the Carestream Exchange-other end users are more helpful than Carestream support on the forum a lot of the time.

Tara HartParticipantYes, and D7283 if placing a bracket
Tara HartParticipantTotally agree
Tara HartParticipantHow many employees do you have? We are claiming exemption from the CARES Act leaves, so we are not paying staff anything if they have to stay home. Otherwise you are rewarding staff for being careless about their behavior outside of work, and it’s unfair to everyone who is working. We had one assistant’s fiancĂ© go hang out with his dad knowing his dad was waiting for a test result after having been exposed, and did indeed test positive. The fiancĂ©e and the assistant tested negative and we had her test again after the 14 days before being allowed to come back to work. The rest of the staff had to cover for her for 2 weeks with no warning. They will think twice about what they do in their free time as it led to going without pay.
Tara HartParticipantWe always refund based on method of payment. One of the endo offices we worked with -his office manager stole from him by writing all of the refund checks to himself. So if you are going to do refund checks, make sure only the doctor can write them.
Tara HartParticipantShayla, please email me at Tara@castlerockoralsurgery.com so I can send to you. We customized our PBHS registration form to have HIPAA, surgery cancellation and collection wording all in it instead of having to do multiple consents.
Tara HartParticipantWe use D6011-some insurances bundle it though.
Tara HartParticipantWe send to collections after 2 statements and one certified letter. We have it in our registration paperwork the fees associated with sending someone to collections is the patient responsiblity, so we add the fees to their chart before turning the account over to collections. Therefore, when we get paid the patient is paying not just their balance but also that of the collections agency. We have collected about 40% to date of balances. We haven’t had any blowback to referrals.
