We opt out too Nancy. Same as Nicole, we just call and opt out. Most will convert to a paper printed check (it looks odd, but it’s good).

We too call insurance a few days prior. At the consult, we give them a quote based on our verification. It takes a lot of planning and work! We also have created a few spreadsheets to help the staff quote quickly. If we anticipate trouble or limits with payment to our office, we call patient before appointment to make them aware. If we can we verify online, but this too comes with limits. Our insurance team has also created a “cheat sheet” for our big employers or groups to make the process quicker. Not much help, but in the same boat! Thanks,-Audra

We use ADP run for the practice, but I use Gusto to pay a few app developers for one of our doctors (he is developing an app on the “side”). Pro: It’s very easy to use, set up and manage. Con: you have to submit the payroll a FULL week for direct deposit. We recently worked through benefits for the company and it was very user friendly. Our developers are out of state and they helped facilitate everything we needed.
