We too call insurance a few days prior. At the consult, we give them a quote based on our verification. It takes a lot of planning and work! We also have created a few spreadsheets to help the staff quote quickly. If we anticipate trouble or limits with payment to our office, we call patient before appointment to make them aware. If we can we verify online, but this too comes with limits. Our insurance team has also created a “cheat sheet” for our big employers or groups to make the process quicker.
