    Hi All,

When patients are referred from their general dentist for a third molar evaluation (for example), and the referrer sends a radiograph (2D pan or CT), does anyone bill out for their assessment of said radiograph (i.e. 70355-26, 70486-26)?

    Thanks for your wisdom!

Our consultation fee includes any reading of x-rays we’ve received from a referring office, or one we’ve taken. Hope that helps!

We do not bill the patient for any reading/interpretation of an image taken by their general DDS. I am curious to see who does, though.
